If suddenly you were able to ask your baby how he or she was feeling, what would you want to know" Thanks to Rebecca Sharrock, who has verified Highly Superior Autobiographical Memory (HSAM) that allows her to remember experiences that began when she was just 12 days old, we're now able to inquire about what teething, feeding, and more feel like on a baby's end.
Rebecca, who resides in Australia and is currently working on a book about her extensive memory, was kind enough to answer a few questions for us.
BabyCenter: What is your happiest memory from an early age"
Rebecca: I woke up one sunny morning at the age of 3 years (and two weeks), and my mum told me that I was to come out into the living room at once because Santa had been here. I had no idea who Santa was, but I could tell it was good news as mum looked so happy. When I entered the living room I saw piles of new toys, and jumped for joy when I got told that they were all mine. For the entire morning I played with my new BabyAlive doll, then mum and my grandparents called me outside, and said there was yet another surprise. It was a new swing set which I spent the rest of the day playing on, pretending I was at a carnival.
BabyCenter: What do you remember that was upsetting to you"
