Video: This is what the message "breastfeeding not welcome here" looks like

When photographer Megan Soto asked moms local to her if they've ever felt shamed by family and friends for breastfeeding, the response was "massive."
"It became obvious to me that we cannot address public breastfeeding until we address those planting the seeds of shame [at home]," she later wrote in a Facebook post.
Megan, who has herself been shut out of holiday dinners because of nursing, put together a video montage of moms sharing how they've been hurt by those closest to them.
Take a look at what moms who've been excluded from social settings because they were breastfeeding had to say:
Did you see the mom who was told not to come to Thanksgiving if she planned to breastfeed her child in her relative's home" That's Megan's story. Eliciting tears, hugs and anger from her followers, she shared the story of her experience on Facebook. Though she was excited when a rare opportunity popped up to travel out of state to see relatives, she says their family was "not met with open arms."
"The family member who is hosting Thanksgiving told my husband that if I come I was not to nurse my son in her home around her family," Megan wrote. "Her husband was very uncomfortable and upset that I breastfeed my son openly while we were there -- especially because I did so in front of their son. She stated that she breastfed and supports breastfeeding, BUT doing it in front of others is like pornography....
