Warning: Disturbing content still slipping past filters on YouTube Kids

When the YouTube Kids app made its debut in 2015, I touted its genius. It offers kid-friendly content that's both easy for parents to manage and kids to navigate ? what's not to love" Plenty, as it turns out. Because some seriously disturbing content continues to slip past YouTube's automated filters.
Apparently, there are deranged people out there who create lewd and/or violent content intentionally aimed toward children. These videos lure kids in with nursery rhymes and familiar characters from Paw Patrol, Peppa Pig, Frozen, Mickey Mouse and more. However, what seems like an innocent episode of your child's favorite TV show morphs into something much darker. Like this video, which is innocent enough (although weird) at the beginning. However, this "off" version of Peppa Pig suddenly turns into a family of Mickey Mouse characters shooting at each other.
Or this 10-minute clip titled ?PAW Patrol Babies Pretend to Die Suicide by Annabelle Hypnotized,? which features beloved characters dying in a car crash, getting trapped in a malfunctioning elevator and walking off the side of a building after being hypnotized by a possessed doll.
Yeah, really.
