Watch a pregnant pole-dancing mama defy gravity

Austrian model Sandy Poguter has been pole-dancing for fitness for years, so when she discovered she was pregnant she saw no reason to put the hobby on hold.
Instead, the now mom-of-two continued her jaw-dropping workouts throughout the 40 weeks of her pregnancy, sharing photos with her Instagram followers along the way.
The pictures, many of which show Sandy with a third-trimester bump, defy both expectations and gravity. This definitely isn't what comes to mind when we think of portraits of pregnancy!
When I think back to those final weeks of pregnancy, strength, balance and grace are not characteristics that come to mind. Yet that's what I see when I look at these pictures. I am in awe. Sandy tells BabyCenter that not everyone loves her photos, though. Looking through the comments on her Instagram posts, it's clear she faced plenty of criticism for continuing to pole-dance throughout her pregnancy.
"Too much, disturbing to see this... It's not cool or wow it's awful," reads one that's echoed over and over again.

While many have questioned the safety of these poses so far into pregnancy, Sandy insists she got the seal of approval from her doctor, who told her she can continue to maintain her regular exercise regime so long as she feels comfortable.
