We're on to you people who talk "through" the baby

"Maybe I'm just being PMSy, but whatever," BabyCenter Community member KristinR1p2 recently began a rant in her birth club. "I freaking HATE when people (family, acquaintances, strangers, whatever) look at the baby and say, 'I need a haircut, Mommy.'"
After begging those who talk through her baby to "Seriously, stfu," (and I don't think she meant "shut the front door"), this frustrated mom concluded her vent session.
But others knew exactly what she was talking about, and had more to say about their experiences with this particular pet peeve.
Letting her frustrations loose, chrisarex3 chimed in: "I f--king hate this as well. Mostly because [my husband's] aunt has a horrible habit of talking to me through my kids like this. 'I'm getting tired, mommy.' 'It's my bedtime, mommy. 'I'm hungry, mommy.' 'I need new glasses, mommy.'
"What the f--k is this sh-t""
And for Grap3fruit, there are two comments that get her riled up.
"My LO (little one) is bald so I get 'Where is my hair mommy"' Like I can magically make it grow wtf."
"I also get "Where are my shoes mommy"" but I stand by my rule of she doesn't need shoes til she can walk."
So what's a parent to do" If you're down for playing that game, there's KristinR1p2's suggestion to have baby 'talk' back and explain: "Silly Grandma. Mommy knows when I'm hungry/tired/wet!"
