We don't want to come to your childless house anyway

The biggest debate on my Facebook right now isn?t about Donald Trump, James, Comey, or Katy vs. Taylor. It?s about this essay, ?Sorry, But Your Kids Aren?t Welcome in My House.?
Not since the Great Blue and Black/White and Gold Dress War of 2015 have I seen so many friends divided so quickly.
Let?s see what all the fuss is about, shall we"
Toward the beginning of the piece, the author says, ?I am having this existential crisis over a Facebook invite I am about to publish, and the crisis hinges on one phrase: Adults only, please.?
She paints a very clear picture of why this is an issue: Her house is small and she owns things that could be broken.
?Kids don?t fit,? she writes.
I?m with her. (And I'm a little jealous, because her house sounds so clean and not sticky.) This is an adult woman, and it?s her home and her rules. She?s setting boundaries. If someone invited me over and said, ?No cats, please,? I would respect that request and not bring my cat along. Also my cat is dead, so that would just be weird.
Had the essay ended there, I think most everyone would be on board ? whether their families include children or not. But then she continues.
?Yes, while there are reasons ? the aforementioned tight hallways and corners and many heavy things at grabbing height and the dog?s desperate attempts to clean your brain through your ear canal ? the honest reason is more damning. I just don?t want them here.?
Okay, she?s not a kid perso...
