We finally found a pacifier that works!

My oldest daughter took a pacifier until she was 18 months. We took it away because it was already affecting the way her teeth grew, and a few people had said hurtful things about it. My second baby never took one, so I didn't have any paci worries there, but when I got pregnant with my third, I did a lot of research on pacifiers that wouldn?t be harmful for this precious new baby?s teeth and gums. I didn?t want to have to deal with people?s rude remarks, but also didn?t want my child to suffer the consequences of my choices.
When my third baby was born, he only took one kind of pacifier (we received them as a gift -- they are only sold online and are very pricey). We had a two-pack and they lasted until he was 3 months old. Then one fateful day, I lost the last one. When I got home and realized I had dropped the last pacifier (probably in the Target parking lot), I rushed to my computer and ordered a new set. I overnighted them and paid the $30 shipping fee, because these were the ONLY pacis my son would take!! That night was MISERABLE. He didn't sleep and comfort-nursed all night.
The next afternoon, they arrived. I opened the box, washed the pacis off and basically shoved one in my son's mouth...and he wouldn't take it. ONE NIGHT.
