Kids are expensive! So now that I'm a mom, saving money is even more important. I've perfected my savings skills over the years, and what I've learned can help you out.
For starters, shop at a store that gives you multiple ways to save. Then you can layer those savings atop one another for big price reductions. Huge. It's pretty easy to do, with a little forethought and planning.
I do most of my shopping -- and savings -- at Walgreens. I love this store, I trust this store. There are so many ways to save on the bottom line there that I managed to get packs of Pampers Diapers for a mere $5.25 each. Not bad, right"
Here are my 6 favorite smart ways to save at Walgreens:
Loyalty Points: As a Balance Rewards member, I earn points for each dollar I spend. The points can be used as dollars off future purchases. Walgreens even offers bonus points with certain purchases -- look for green tags that identify these extra-points items.
Sales: Something is always on sale at Walgreens. In fact, my son -- who is learning his colors -- helps me find the yellow sale tags.
Special codes: The Walgreens website is a goldmine. Just the other day I found a special code to save an additional 25 percent off beauty and personal care items. You never know what you?ll find.
