What are you most excited for once your baby is born"

During my first pregnancy I spent an inordinate amount of time gently poking and prodding my swollen belly. Though the fact-based part of my brain had come to terms the pregnancy a large part of my mind stubbornly refused to wrap around the life-altering situation at hand.
The few ultrasounds I had ought to have given me a glimpse of what our little one was doing in my womb, but the grainy images (taken before 3D ultrasounds were common) made the whole thing even stranger. I wanted -- I needed -- to see what our baby looked like in order to paint an image of our future.

mieyal: Being able to hand her off to her father! Bystander no more sir! All those 'wish I coulds' he spouts will become a reality...!
