What the heck is a lactation pod & why you should love them

Have you ever heard of a lactation pod"
If you're sitting there scratching your head, it's basically a movable, little room with seating where moms can go for privacy to pump breast milk or nurse their babies. I've read about them popping up in airports, stadiums and even on college campuses. But I figured they were like a rare, mythical unicorn of breastfeeding convenience, and I'd never actually get to experience one for myself.
Until this weekend, when I stumbled across this glorious nursing mom cave.
Cue: Choir of singing angels.
The timing of this chance encounter was perfect, by the way. My husband and I were at a convention center in Cleveland with our youngest in tow, when she started getting sleepy and upset; I knew exactly what she needed. While I have no qualms about breastfeeding wherever I happen to be, I couldn't pass up a chance to give this pod a test drive. Meet the Mamava suite.
In order to open the pod, I had to enter "8008" (boob!) on the keypad. (I'm guessing this is to prevent little kids from entering/hiding inside without an adult knowing.) Upon entering, I simply locked the door and got down to business.
Inside, there were two benches -- one to my left and one to my right -- each with enough room to comfortably sit while nursing my little one. (I'm pretty sure you could have fit a stroller in there, too.)
