Which is harder: Pregnancy exhaustion or newborn up-all-nights"

There's no other exhaustion out there quite like early pregnancy exhaustion, right"
I had never in my life been as tired as I was at age 22 while pregnant with my first child. I could (and did) fall asleep just about anytime I sat down. The couch was a guarantee I'd doze off, a recliner was nearly as bad. I even once nodded off at the doctor's office waiting room. Thank goodness I didn't have far to drive in those days.
It was the worst -- right up until my bundle of joy was born with a healthy set of lungs with which to wake me at all times of the night. There were literal tears of tiredness shed, and if you'd given me a magic time machine I'd have gladly hopped in and transported back a few weeks to my pregnancy days. At least then I was getting deep sleep. Sure, I had to wake up enough to waddle to the bathroom in the 'wee' hours, but I didn't have the stress of worrying if everything was alright with our son.
Moms-to-be in the BabyCenter Community are asking us been-there, done-that veterans if pregnancy or newborn exhaustion is harder, and the answers are divided. Take a look at a few replies...
