Why BabyCenter bloggers took the cookie-as-big-as-your-face challenge
by Whitney Barthel posted in Life
Last week we received news that our beloved Stacie Lewis had passed. Stacie has been a blogger for BabyCenter since 2011 and had been battling leukemia since 2013.
In June of 2015, Stacie shared on her blog that her bone marrow transplant had been a success and she was again in remission. Stacie wrote on her blog, ?the day after my final results, I kept my son home from school and we went into London to buy chocolate chip cookies as big as our face.?
She shared an adorable picture of her son holding up a giant cookie, and, to celebrate her, several BabyCenter bloggers took pictures of their own kids holding giant cookies and posted them to our private work Facebook page. Despite Stacie's good prognosis in 2015, her health took a turn for the worst in October of 2016 after learning her cancer had quickly came back and there were no more available treatment options.
Stacie passed away on Good Friday, April 14th, surrounded by loved ones.
So now, to honor Stacie once more, several BabyCenter bloggers are again taking the cookie-as-big-as-your-face challenge.
