Why moms don't share real motherhood pics on social media

We all want to put our best face forward (is this a real saying, or did I just make that up"). Anyway, the point is -- we all put our best selves out there for the world to see.
It seems moms especially have a tendency of only sharing the times we actually have things together. Unfortunately, it's the times that aren't shared when the actual real life, the real motherhood happens.
*Not this moms best face, I'm sure.
Let me demonstrate.
Here is a photo I shared on Facebook just this morning. And, one I took just moments after. Poop. EVERYWHERE.
Here is my current profile picture on my social media -- taken by my five year old.
My son, Frankie, loves taking pictures. A lot of them. He managed to catch the adorable photo above...along with about fifty not-so-good ones. Here are a few of the outtakes.
But who am I to judge one on picture-taking abilities" Here is a pair of photos taken by yours truly -- one I shared and one I obviously didn?t.
Sometimes I laugh when I think of how different my posts from social media are versus what I share with my husband. He obviously knows how wonderful and amazing our kids can be, but when they are not, I want him to share in my misery.
When I think about it, I don?t not share our not-so-glamorous times because I want to appear perfect (honestly, I?m "an open book" -- I know for a fact this is a real saying), I fail to share the more real moments because those ones are just b...
