Woman delivers in ER hallway, birth photographer captures it all

Although Jes Hogan had a relatively low-key pregnancy with her sixth child, the delivery of her last baby ? and first son ? was anything but mundane. In fact, little Maxwell ended up making a dramatic entrance on the hallway floor of the ER, following a high-speed race to the hospital.
And the best part" Her birth photographer captured the entire thing.
Hogan had gone to the hospital on July 19 after having contractions throughout the night. Things seemed to be moving right along; she progressed from nearly 3 centimeters to 4 fairly quickly. When Hogan failed to progress from there, they decided to go home and monitor her contractions there. Fast forward four long days, and the pregnant mama was still laboring at home. Finally, after a particularly powerful contraction in the middle of the night, Hogan knew it was finally time. The baby was coming ? and fast. When Hogan's water broke, the laboring mom was sure she'd end up having her baby at home. However, her husband, Travis, assured her they would make it to the hospital in time. A 3 a.m., high-speed car ride ensued. (And luckily there wasn't much traffic.) While coping with back-to-back contractions during the drive, Hogan called labor and delivery to let them know they were on their way. She also called her birth photographer, Tammy Karin of Little Leapling Photography, and told her to meet them at the hospital ASAP.
