A long and well-deserved summer break is currently underway for thousands of students who have just completed their A-Level exams. Congratulations and celebrations are a must and now the wait for results day begins.
For many of you, when results day comes around you?ll have achieved your expected grades. So our main advice is to relax and enjoy your final summer before university life begins.
When results day does arrive, some of you may find that you?ve achieved better grades than expected or haven?t quite achieved what you were predicted. In either case there?s no need to worry – for both eventualities there is a solution and that solution is Clearing and Adjustment. Guide to Clearing and Adjustment
If you achieve better than expected grades you can contact universities with a higher grade boundary to see whether they have spaces available. This process is known as Adjustment.
Clearing is an option for students who don?t achieve their predicted grades, as many universities (even the top 20) will have positions available even to those who miss out on achieving the entry requirements for their chosen course.
