Latest research reveals British mothers will hear the word “mum” a staggering 9,563 times a year
The poll, carried out by Crystal Ski Holidays, also found that a typical mum will hear cries, hollers and demands 26 times a day, on average. The nation’s mothers will also tackle 291 lots of homework, drive 1,196 miles to and from school and do 499 loads of washing each year.
She will also dedicate five whole days a year organising the family’s social events ? including booking holidays ? 7 days a year food shopping, and a further 7 days reading bedtime stories.
Unsurprisingly, 58% of the 1,000 women surveyed said being a mother was much harder work than their regular job. Yet, 44% said they wouldn’t change it for the world, and fortunately, the findings showed six in 10 mothers said they believe their family appreciates all they do for them.
