What better way to spend a rainy Sunday afternoon than enjoying the charming Winnie the Pooh exhibition at the Victoria & Albert museum followed by a delectable Silly Old Bear tea at the nearby Pelham London" Well, that’s exactly what we thought, so we ventured to South Ken for an adventure the whole family was looking forward to.
At the V&A, the children were enchanted by the timeless, beautiful sketches by E.H Shepherd of those familiar characters, Pooh, Tigger, Kanga,and Eeyore, and we as grown ups were captivated by the unique partnership the author AA Milne and the illustrator had over the years, illustrated through letters, photographs and cartoons. A real trip down memory lane for those who loved Pooh and friends as a child. Jago tucks in!
Next stop was The Pelham, London, just around the corner from the V&A, and awaiting us with a warm reception in their cosy study where we settled down in front of the fireplace. The children loved the Winnie the Pooh colouring in and puzzles, before tucking into a feast of Pooh themed goodies including Hunny Pops, Eeyore’s sweet treats and Tiggeron, all served in beautiful wicker baskets.
