With so many strollers (and types of strollers!) out there, deciding which one to buy can be more than a little overwhelming. There’s lots to consider, from size and weight to the features and functions that will impact you every day as you’re getting around. If you’re looking for a lightweight, narrow-profile stroller that folds up small, quickly and easily, an umbrella stroller is probably going to be your best bet. Umbrella strollers are great for navigating public transit, busy sidewalks and narrow store aisles, and they’re ideal for travel. Traditionally, they have curved handles and fold up long and narrow, but that’s changing a bit, with some models folding into a compact square shape. Many models have a reclining seat, which is great for napping, but most don’t recline flat for infants under three to six months old. To make choosing an umbrella stroller easier, we put a wide range of models to the test to bring you a list of the best ones out there.
