Teaching of STEM
For the second year running, Bromley High School has been shortlisted for the Education Business Award for Outstanding Progress in a UK Independent School. It was also one of five shortlisted schools drawn from across the state and independent sectors for the award for outstanding provision for the teaching of STEM subjects: Science, Technology, Engineering and Maths.
After another year of superb results (85% A*-B at A-Level and over a third of girls achieving nine or 10 A* – A grades at GCSE (Sept 2016)), leavers took up places at Barts Medical School, Exeter, Bristol, Sheffield, Warwick, Loughborough and Nottingham, among the favourite destinations, with other girls gaining places at medical schools and art colleges. Bromley High buzzes with the sound of girls engaged in dramatic performance, dance and debate. One of our leavers took up a starring role in the BBC’s Eastenders while one of our Junior school girls is still wowing West End audiences in the lead role in Matilda.
The musical and dramatic life of the school has featured a sublime chamber concert in the beautiful surroundings of The Swiss Church in Covent Garden and a spectacular all singing and dancing production of the hit High School Musical.
