Serious book lovers everywhere know there’s nothing better in the world than going to a midnight release party for one of your favourite series?especially when that series is Harry Potter!
That’s why fellow witches and wizards of all houses?Gryffindor, Ravenclaw, Hufflepuff and Slytherin?will be happy to hear that libraries and book stores all across Canada will be hosting more than 400 midnight release parties on July 30 in celebration of the release of Harry Potter and the Cursed Child the following day.

For Muggle parents not in the know, Harry Potter and the Cursed Child is the eighth Harry Potter story in the series, and takes place 19 years after the events of the seventh book, Harry Potter the Deathly Hallows. Harry now works for the Ministry of Magic and is a husband and father of three school-aged kids. The youngest, Albus, is forced to deal with his dad’s past and the family legacy?something he never wanted. With the past and present both at hand, Harry and Albus must confront the fact that darkness comes from unexpected places. Yep, that was a pretty vague plot synopsis, but that’s because it’s all we know so far!
