I kinda love Chrissy Teigen?mainly for her love of cake and pie, but also because she doesn’t shy away from difficult subjects. The model, host and cookbook author has talked about how she struggled with infertility for over five years?and now she’s revealed that she and husband, John Legend, chose the sex of her baby.
?Not only am I having a girl, but I picked the girl from her little embryo. I picked her and was like, ?Let?s put in the girl,'” Chrissy told People magazine.
The couple have been quite open about their struggles with infertility, with Chrissy, 30, even revealing that she was giving herself IVF shots while doing a bikini shoot for Sports Illustrated. Talk about surreal. But now the couple is expecting a little girl this spring?and they couldn’t be more excited.
?I think I was most excited and allured by the fact that John would be the best father to a little girl. That excited me,? she says. ?Just the thought of seeing him with a little girl. I think he deserves a little girl. I think he deserves that bond. A boy will come along. We?ll get there too, so it?s not like we really have to pick. But he definitely is very lucky to have a little girl. And this girl is going to be so completely lucky to have John as her papa ? it?s crazy!?
