Confidence classes for kids
Role Models’ courses nurture children to present themselves effectively and react positively to pressure
There’s no doubt that confidence is one of the greatest gifts we can give to our children. Low self-esteem leads them to worry about failing and disappointing others, which in turn can lead to them holding back on opportunities in later life. Of course, self-esteem comes from feeling loved and secure, and as parents there is a lot we can do to encourage our children to practice their interests and take healthy risks. To help develop that, specialist childcare and education provider Role Models has announced 2017 dates for its highly acclaimed Confidence and Resilience courses for children aged eight to 12 years.
Influenced by feedback and research from teachers in some of London’s leading primary and secondary schools, the courses are designed to help build a child’s character in a fun, action-packed and pressure-free environment. The weeks involve a series of challenges that will provide each child with an armoury with which they can build confidence and problem solve. The courses focuses on technical skills, such as team-building exercises, debating and public speaking, and can be beneficial for children making the transition from primary to secondary school, as well as those going through the 11+ process.
