Dukes Education Launches Bespoke App to Help Teachers Boost Health and Wellbeing
Dukes Education has become one of the first major education providers to launch a bespoke app to encourage staff to focus on their overall health and wellbeing and prevent health issues
The ?Dukes Fit? app by Dukes Education is being rolled out to over 2,500 UK employees of the independent schools? group following a successful six month pilot last year. Devised by military fitness experts who have worked at optimising performance in the army, the app provides expert advice on health, fitness and has a focus on sleep as a fundamental part of overall wellbeing.
Dukes Education, whose schools include Hampton Court House in South West London, Notting Hill Prep, Heathside School in Hampstead, Eaton Square Schools and London Park Schools, developed the app to provide a proactive resource for staff. It provides access to cutting edge advice on wellbeing, fitness and nutrition including podcasts, webinars and live streamed exercise classes. ?I think it?s quite unusual for a company to take a step back and look at someone?s total wellbeing but we believe that, as people spend the vast majority of their lives at work, we have a responsibility to support them however we can,? explained Dukes Director of People, Claire Little, who championed its introduction.
?It?s a different set of optics on how we can support our staff. Stress management, for example, is very important,? she added.
