Eagle House Pupils Perform Mannequin Challenge
Pupils at Eagle House School, Berkshire have created their own inventive rendition of viral trend, the Mannequin Challenge
Presidential candidates, world-class sporting heroes and celebrities from across the globe have all tried their hand at viral internet trend, the Mannequin Challenge ? now, students and staff at Eagle House School in Sandhurst, Berkshire are the latest to jump on the bandwagon, with their own creative and amusing video.
The Mannequin Challenge, which was reportedly started by a group of American students in October 2016, encourages participants to remain frozen in action whilst a moving camera films them as part of a continuous shot. The more creative and adventurous your ‘pose’, the better, though the real challenge is keeping still for as long as possible. The students had to stay as still as possible for the video
The idea for Eagle House’s video was sparked when the pupils decided they wanted to create their own version as part of an evening boarding activity. Together, the children and staff looked at YouTube videos and other mannequin challenges for inspiration, and the students then decided how and where they would position themselves.
They wanted to use as much of the boarding house as they could, believing this would make for a more challenging video, and would be a good way to show off the school’s facilities. The children had a couple of test-runs, and then filmed the video in just two takes.
