Explore a new way to get groceries and save time
In my other life, I used to work as an IT Project Manager and spent over seven years at LOBLAWSÂ (fun fact which might be a surprise to anyone who hasn’t followed me for very long). When I was still there and Magnus was just born, I heard rumours that corporate was coming out with a way to make grocery shopping easier and faster by launching a CLICK & COLLECTÂ online grocery service, where busy customers could buy their groceries online and pick them up at the store at a time that is convenient for them.
Excited that the Click & Collect service has finally launched?with a smartphone app sure to follow soon?I decided to try it out for myself.
Last week while Henrik and Magnus napped, and while Johannes was at camp, I built my grocery list online. I knew it would be impossible to try to grocery shop on my own with all three kids, especially when Henrik’s feeding windows are still short, so I loved the convenience of being able to shop in the quiet of my bedroom without having to leave the house. I set the pickup date and time for when I knew the boys would be awake, a few days later in my case, but you can set your pick up as far out as two weeks. The next day, I loaded up the boys, drove to the closest Loblaws I had selected and picked up my order. It was so easy and I didn’t have to drag the kids around the aisle with me, which is a bit crazy right now with Magnus still very much in the terrible twos.
