Meet a real-life mermaid and take part in a whole host of fun family-friendly activities at this year’s London Seafood Festival
If your little one has ever fancied meeting a ‘real-life’ mermaid, get yourself down to London Seafood Festival at Battersea Power Station this month!
The event, which officially opens on Wednesday 20 June, will welcome the Cornwall-based St Ives Mermaid from 12pm to 4pm on Saturday 23 to Sunday 24 June, and the mythical marvel will even be available for photos. Charity donations will be collected from the Battersea Foundation and Action Against Hunger throughout the festival, too.

Other fun family-friendly activities taking place over the weekend include face painting, cooking demonstrations and appearances from the incredible Miss Ballooniverse, who will be creating balloon magic at the festival on 23 June from 1pm to 4pm. Or if bubble art is more to your fancy, don’t miss Bubble Inc, who are holders of several bubble-specific Guinness World Records and will be bringing a magical underwater atmosphere to the event on Sunday 24 June, 12pm to 5pm.
