Silly just got serious; it’s time to pop on a pullover and donate!
This year, Friday 16 December sees a whole host of celebrities, including Myleene Klass, Sophie Ellis-Bextor, Freddie Flintoff, Jamie Redknapp and James Corden support the return of Save The Children’s Christmas Jumper Day.
Silliness will sweep the nation’s schools, homes and workplaces next month, as children and adults alike ditch their everyday dress for a festive knit. Just some of the celebrities marking their support for the campaign this year include comedian Jack Whitehall, actress Anna Friel, radio DJ and presenter Lauren Laverne, and newsreader Jon Snow.

You can join in the campaign, too, by sticking on a seasonal sweater and signing up to donate £2 to Save The Children (£1 for schoolchildren). The charity does its upmost to save the lives of little ones around the world, and funds will go towards anything from giving the children of refugee camps clothes to keep warm in this winter, nutritious food to feed families in need, as well as healthcare, education and protection to millions of children who are missing out on the most basic support.
