How Dulwich College Marked Mental Health Week 2022

Dulwich College has marked Mental Health Awareness Week and the official theme of ‘loneliness’ by focusing on their own theme ?Connections?. Pupils have been connecting through a variety of ways: through benches dotted around the campus, where they can take a moment from the busy day to sit, reflect or catch up with friends for a social connection.
A message to students from the Wellbeing Team at Dulwich College explaining the theme reads: “Connections with Ourselves: sometimes we may feel uncomfortable or disconnected with who we are. When we are feeling this way, we may be experiencing emotional loneliness. This is something we may all feel at points in our lives ? it can take time to learn and develop what makes you, you.
“When experiencing emotional loneliness, finding ways to connect with ourselves can be helpful. It is important to remember to be kind to ourselves when we are feeling disconnected from who we are. It can be useful to think about how we would talk and support a friend who was feeling like this.” Lunch time connections
The ?Table Teasers? placed on dining tables at Dulwich College were used as a way to start conversation whilst also having fun answering quiz questions and exersing the brain at the same time.
