Queen Margaret’s School, an all-girls’ school in York,  won Independent School of the Year for Student Wellbeing at our Independent School of the Year Awards 2021. Here’s how they came out on top out of over 700 entrants.
Queen Margaret’s School (QM) is a day, flexi and full boarding school for girls aged 11-18. QM has adapted its offering over the last year and a half to fully support seamless online learning.
The School committed from the start of the lockdown journey that student wellbeing and mental health support would not be compromised at this time and indeed, it would continue to grow from strength to strength, even in the face of such adversity. The great challenge for Queen Margaret’s School was ‘how do we grow our wellbeing support when our girls are across the entire globe’" QM chose to take a multidimensional approach to wellbeing in lockdown, this allowed the School to acknowledge the individual circumstances of every girl, wherever they were located in the world.
