Rainy days are an inevitable part of the British weather and often don?t go down well with children. Before you start pulling your hair out wondering how you will cope with the cries of boredom, why not try some of these creative and fun rainy day ideas for inside and outside the house?

What’s better than teaching children to create something beautiful on a miserable day" Crafts are a great way to ensure children stay entertained without having to resort to electronics, plus creating something physical will give your child a sense of achievement as well as giving you something to display on your mantelpiece. Salt Dough sculptures
You may remember your teachers cracking out the salt dough close to Christmas to make ornaments for the tree. Salt dough shouldn?t just be left until the festive periods, with such an easy, inexpensive recipe and versatile end results, salt dough is the perfect cure for boredom on a rainy day.
Here is a great salt dough recipe:
200g plain flour
100g salt
150 ml of luke warm water
Different items from around the house to use for creating textures on the dough, for example kitchen utensils
