How to make rainbow crayons

For this colourful craft, you?ll need crayons, a silicone baking mould and your oven.
1. Have kids peel wrappers off full-size and broken bits of crayons, and then break the crayons into small pieces.
2. Have them fill the silicone mould with broken crayons.
3. Place mould into 230F oven and melt for 20 minutes.
4. Carefully remove pan from oven (remember, it?s hot wax). Let harden, and then peel from moulds.
Tip: Setting the mould on a sturdy baking sheet makes it easier to move in and out of the oven. A version of this article appeared in our September 2015 issue with the headline ?Rainbow party,? p. 24-6.
