Our ‘Grimsdell Way’ guides the school; a value framework promoting high standards for our children and staff. With this code we address our children’s educational, emotional and societal needs, instilling kindness, self-belief and betterment.
Motivated by reaching the Independent Schools of the Year finals, we’ve endeavoured to do ‘even more, even better’. We’ve gathered momentum.

A focus on wellbeing
We’re zealous in our commitment to improving our pupil’s mental health. Almost half of them have spent more than half their lives in lockdown. We work tirelessly so they feel safer and more secure. Complimenting our ‘Thrive in 5’ programme, we deliver weekly mindfulness sessions for every single child. More than simply deep breathing, we help them identify “a wobble”. Our specialists guide techniques like feeling the floor and petal breathing. The ambition" Equip them with the tools to centre themselves at school, and beyond.
Children now not only identify overwhelming moments themselves, they result in honest, meaningful conversations about their wellbeing.
