King’s College Pupils Dazzle in “The Great Gatsby”
Budding theatre actors at King’s College, Taunton took to the stage this week for a performance of F. Scott Fitzgerald’s The Great Gatsby
Last week, talented pupils from King’s College, Taunton immersed audiences in a world of 1920s jazz, cocktails and flapper dresses as they unveiled their stage adaptation of F. Scott Fitzgerald’s The Great Gatsby.
Upper Sixth student, Lorcan Cudlip-Cook ably led the stage production as Nick Carraway, the play?s protagonist, bringing to life the glitz and glamour of Fitzgerald?s seminal novel. Through his eyes, pupils, parents and members of the public witnessed the romantic yet troubled tale of Jay Gatsby and Daisy Buchanan, expertly portrayed by students Zachary Higgins and Olivia Chamberlain.
