Meet the Head – St. Hilary’s School
Jane has a Bachelor of Education degree and has been teaching for over 30 years in both the state and independent sector. She is married to Andrew and has four children and a Labrador called Ronnie. Ronnie is no stranger to St Hilary?s, making the occasional visit for the children to enjoy `Reading with Ronnie?. Jane was previously Deputy Head at Rowan Preparatory School.
?Time has a habit of flying by and the expectations of pupils have changed significantly? explains Jane Whittingham, as she enters her fifth year as Headmistress of St Hilary?s. She says ?Prep schools are no longer charged with preparing pupils solely for the academic foundations for senior school but also for life beyond.
