Felsted School, HMC Boarding and Day School, Chris Townsend became the 28th Headmaster of Felsted School in September 2015.

Felsted has recently celebrated its 450th anniversary and remains at the heart of the village community, working closely with two local primary schools. It is place where every child can thrive, with pastoral care rightly celebrated in recent inspections. The majority of senior pupils board in some way, while our Preparatory school is thriving at just over 500 pupils, providing a dynamic educational start to school life. Felsted is renowned for punching above its weight, and while the intake is not selective, the top groups regularly outperform local grammar schools.
