 We are all aware of the pace of modern life, and since we were children, the world has certainly sped up! Everyone, including children, has very busy agendas and children, as well as adults, can often be both physically and emotionally exhausted. An added pressure in the school setting, for both children and schools, is the ever increasing focus on results, seemingly at an ever increasingly early age.
Whilst Headteachers are fully aware of these pressures, they often become a key focus for the curriculum and resource, diverting time from ensuring a nurturing environment, which can help develop a child?s emotional wellbeing and long term success.
It is very easy to forget, that we all have limits, which is why, at Silcoates, the aim is to provide a true all-round education, where every pupil has the opportunity to develop the skills, qualities and aptitudes they require to have a full, productive and happy life.
