This is the second listeria-related recall in recent weeks, after Sabra Canada Inc. recalled many varieties of their hummus.
What should you do"
If you think you?ve become sick from eating one of the recalled products, call your doctor.
If you have these products in your home, you should either throw them out or return them to the store where they were purchased. The Canadian Food Inspection Agency (CFIA) advises that food contaminated with listeria may not look or smell spoiled, but can still make you sick. Symptoms can include vomiting, nausea, persistent fever, muscle aches, severe headache and neck stiffness. Pregnant women, the elderly and people with weakened immune systems are especially at risk. Although infected pregnant women may experience only mild, flu-like symptoms, the infection can lead to premature delivery, an infection in the newborn, or even stillbirth.
