RECALL: Toys “R” Us Canada’s Koala Baby 2-pack sleepers
Toys “R” Us Canada is recalling their Koala Baby brand 2-pack sleepers because they don’t meet the flammability requirements for children’s sleepwear under Canadian law. Loose-fitting pyjamas are more vulnerable to coming in contact with candles, stove elements and matches than tighter sleepwear, and, once ignited, will burn faster.
The recalled sleepers feature six different designs?Fox, Zebra, Dino, Sheep and two versions of Bear, all with manufacturer numbers beginning with 3557 and date codes ending in 2017.
Between June 2017 and March 2019, there have been 82,314 packs of sleepers sold in Canada, and as of March 20, 2019 there have been no reports of injuries to babies wearing the sleepers. What should you do"
You can read Health Canada’s full recall notice here. If you’ve purchased these sleepers you should immediately stop using them and return them to Toys “R” Us for a refund. You can also call Toys”R” Us Canada at 1-866-345-5656 for more information or visit their website.
