The choir at St George’s School, Windsor, wowed audiences in Poland as they embarked on their first foreign music tour
In October 2016, the Chamber Choir from St George?s School, Windsor Castle ventured to Poland for their first foreign music tour. The objectives of their visit were clear and simple ? sing well, learn plenty and take the name of St George?s wherever they could! The children were thrilled and excited to explore the buildings, acoustics and traditions of another country. There are significant parallels between Kraków and Windsor ? they both have historically important castles, royal chapels and a shared history of slaying dragons! They don?t, however, share the culture of the English choral tradition. The pupils explored the connections of the two places and helped ensure that audiences, congregations and passers-by enjoyed all that they had to offer.
