Step Up To Pre-Prep
It?s an education that offers the perfect transition from nursery to preparatory school, writes Jo Webbern
Given that I am the head of a Pre-Prep School, it is perhaps unsurprising that I consider this stage of schooling to be the most important. My reasoning is that if you do things right here, then much of the important preparation for your child?s subsequent education is covered.
Forest School is an integral part of pre-prep education
Pre-Prep school is the independent sector provision for the very youngest pupils, from age three to seven or eight. Essentially, Pre-Prep maps on to and is informed by the Early Years Foundation Stage curriculum ? although the ways in which this is interpreted is important.
Schools that offer provision for the whole educational span (three?18 years) will tend to design their Pre-Prep, at least to some extent, to what is to follow. If you like the look of what is offered at Senior School, then it makes Pre-Prep well worth a look. Certainly, it can make entry to the more senior schools easier ? not just because you are already ?in the loop?, but as the ethos and curriculum is likely to be of the same order.
