Late last summer, Army Specialist Christopher M. Harris was killed in action in Afghanistan, in a vehicle explosion. It was, of course, devastating for his wife, Britt Harris, but it was made even more tragic because it came just a week after he found out that she was pregnant with their first child. (Here come the tears.)

It took this dad a REALLY long time to get to the hospital for his baby's birthThis past March, their daughter, Christian Harris, was born, and in her recent newborn photoshoot, she got to meet some very special people: the soldiers who served alongside her late father. While Britt was pregnant with Christian and mourning the loss of her husband, she got a lot of support from his former unit and knew she wanted to plan something special for them once the baby was born. “I wanted to let everyone meet Christian together,” she told CNN. And meet her they did. Take a look a this adorable Instagram picture of the soldiers holding up the two-month-old:
