Tools for potty training your toddler
You?ve made it through childbirth, sleepless nights, midnight feedings, and teething. The next big event for you and your toddler is potty training.
Like most things that have to do with babies, there are no hard and fast rules about potty training but with time, patience, and some helpful tips, diapers will soon be a thing of the past.
Watch for Cues
How do you know when your child is ready to start potty training" Children usually show signs of readiness as early as 18 months while others aren?t ready to start until much later. If your child is showing an interest in your bathroom habits, wakes up from naps dry, and has some independence getting dressed and pulling up and down pants, you can start preparing for toilet training.

Make sure you have everything you need before you start. If you decide to use the big toilet, consider buying a soft potty seat that sits on top of the large seat (it’s more comfortable for little bottoms) and a stool to help little ones climb onto the seat. Also consider buying fun books on potty training (to read on the potty!) as well as a small, portable potty to bring on outings.
