Walk for Rwanda Aid
A sponsored walk aims to raise money for Rwanda Aid, a charity that helps those people not only struggling from the aftermath of the 1994 genocide, but who also face desperate poverty
The charity Rwanda Aid is organising a sponsored walk on Sunday 26th June 2016. It is an event open to people of all ages, with families being encouraged to participate and to raise money for this wonderful charity. Come rain or shine, and we very much hope for the latter, this will be a fun day to raise money and awareness of the work that Rwanda Aid does in the remote districts of Rusizi and Nyamasheke in South-west Rwanda.
The charity is incredibly fortunate that David and Sarah Kowitz have kindly agreed to the walk starting and ending at Fairlight Hall near Hastings. This is a stunning Manor House set in 90 acres (fairlighthall.co.uk). There will be the opportunity for a post-walk picnic in the beautiful grounds. This will be a great chance to meet other Rwanda Aid supporters, past volunteers, the Trustees, the CEO and the Founder of Rwanda Aid. The walk will be about 10 miles long and will start and finish at Fairlight Hall Martineau Lane, Hastings, East Sussex TN35 5DR. It will start promptly at 10.30am and it is requested that participants arrive at 10am to allow ample time to park, register etc.Â
