I work in the communications team at Publicis Media, which is made up of several agency brands including Starcom, Zenith, Digitas, Spark Foundry, Blue 449 and Performics. My official title is Communications Apprentice, but within my team, I?m also known as the ?social media expert?. I help look after the media agencies? social media platforms by creating content that showcases our talent and the interesting events that happen daily across the agencies. My day can be very varied, from attending events that Publicis Media spokespeople are panellists or speakers at, to helping my team with press coverage by monitoring news stories about the company.
I got my job through an apprenticeship scheme. My apprenticeship provider is WhiteHat ? an amazing start-up. I wanted to get into this industry because my teenage years were taken over by social media. I use to run a Twitter account for my favourite band, which at its peak had about 60,000 followers.
