1. Ascot’s Christmas racing weekend
Ascot racecourse will be transformed for the ‘Christmas Racing Weekend’ – it?s most loved, annual family racing weekend. World-class jump racing is combined with festive entertainment for all ages, with highlights including a Rock Choir, fairground rides and Father Christmas complete with reindeer.

2. Henna Party
Head to the Museum of London and get creative at this cool workshop. Discover the origins of henna, and the special occasions it is used for, then spot traditional pattern or initials in the designs. No need to book, just drop in. When: Friday 29 and Sunday 31 December, 12.30pm and 2.30pm

3. Harlequins’ Big Game 10
For a family get-together after the big day, head to Twickenham for one of the UK’s biggest sporting events. The stadium will be packed with 80,000 fans for Big Game 10, which will feature entertainment on and off the field. As well as the Harlequins doing their thing, there will be stunning pyrotechnic displays and performances from the likes of Scouting for Girls.
