Five unique events in the capital to keep your little ones busy this August bank holiday weekend
1. Time Tunnellers
Get your hard hats on and your trowels ready as the Museum of London Docklands takes you on a journey to become an archaeologist. This interactive family show will help mini explorers piece together the capital’s history. Be sure to book in advance so you don’t miss out.

2. Construction Challenge
This summer, pop along to the National Army Museum to have a go at its Construction Challenge, using special wooden boards to create a structure that won’t topple over. This workshop is suitable for children aged eight years and over, but there are plenty of other activities for younger members to enjoy, too. When: Until Sunday 3 September, 10.15am to 4pm

3. Dusty’s Wildlife Rangers
Head to the WWT London Wetland Centre during the holidays and the kids can learn to become wildlife rangers, as they spend the day pond dipping, learn how to use binoculars and join the warden to discover more about the wildlife there.
