You might want to reconsider eating these chocolates because they’re made out of placenta
If someone offered you a decadent chocolate, you’d probably respond with a “hard yes,” right"
Well, what if we told you there was dehydrated placenta inside that chocolate"
Eating placenta isn’t a new concept, and the people who do it will tell you that it’s vitamin-rich and really good for you. We’re used to hearing about it being dehydrated into pills,
But one mom turned hers into Oreo truffles and chocolate hearts.
The mom who bore the placenta, 23-year-old Kiley Whitworth, hired a doula to help her whip up the special chocolate treats, because safety first. But lucky us, she Snapchatted the entire thing so you can see the whole process. If you have a weak stomach, you might want to grab a bucket.
Like any good cooking show, we see the ingredients we’ll be working with. In this case, it is a bloody sack on a cutting board with what looks like an absorbent pad to sop up any excess blood. Photo: Kiley Whitworth
Then, the placenta was steamed in a stock pot.

After steaming, it was cut into strips. It looks like they took a steak-like approach, cutting against the grain. The chunks were then thrown into a dehydrator for 16 hours.

Once dehydrated into a nice powder, the placenta dust is ready to get wild with some Oreo crumbs.

The final product doesn’t look too shabby.
