From the creator of Alligator Pie, Jelly Belly, The Ice Cream Store, and Garbage Delight comes a new magical poem. In his new book Zoomberry, Dennis Lee?AKA Canada’s Father Goose?tells the rhyming tale of a kid who can’t sleep a peep and instead decides to visit a wizard in with his imagination.
The wizard teaches him a magical phrase that will make him fly:
“Zoomberry, Zoombery, Zoomberry Pie,
Zoomberry, Zoomberry, now I can fly.”
According to the wizard, the trick is to say it soft and slow as you go to sleep. And boom! It works. The kid is suddenly flying in his dream, surrounded by colourful butterflies, birds, airplanes, space and magical things. “(Zoomberry, Zoomberry, now I can fly.)” Photo: From Zoomberry by Dennis Lee, illustrated by Du?an Petri?i? © 2016.
