Children’s Mental Health Week 2023: Princess of Wales Discusses Importance of Connection
HRH The Princess of Wales and Royal Patron of Place2Be met with primary school children to discuss Children?s Mental Health Week [6-12 February 2023] and the importance of connection.

To mark the start of Place2Be?s Children?s Mental Health Week, running 6-12 February 2023, with the theme of ?Let?s Connect?. The Princess of Wales, Patron of Place2Be, met with primary school children in east London to discuss the importance of supporting children?s mental health, and connecting with others. Place2Be is the leading children?s mental health charity behind the Week. Children?s Mental Health Week follows the launch of The Royal Foundation Centre for Early Childhood?s new Shaping Us campaign.
In an exclusive video released on 6 February, The Princess joins children at St John?s CE Primary School in Bethnal Green as they take part in creative activities to help them think and talk about who they feel most connected to in their lives.
The Princess builds paperchains with the children and discusses the importance of connecting with others including family and friends. One pupil told The Princess ?connecting releases our emotions to other people that we care about?.
