The Method
Until recently, tutors connected with students in one of three ways: advertising their services ? posting fliers or print adverts in their local newspapers? classifieds section; working at a tutoring centre or by word of mouth promotion of their skills and abilities. Superprof saw a gap in the tutoring industry: an online marketplace for tutors that students could peruse. One that permits them to select the right tutors for their learning needs and whose services they could dispense of when they wanted. A model that would allow tutors the flexibility of accepting the students they felt they could best help and permit them to set their own rates. The purpose is to connect mentor and learner, with no contracts, no mandates and no hidden fees to bog either party down.  

What You Can Learn From a Tutor" 
 In thr early days, tutors were strictly for academia; maths, languages and science. However, as the Superprof learning community grew, so too did the enthusiasm and demand for the teachers to mentor in non-academic subjects.
